Seun is an insurance litigator with particular experience in health law matters. She assists individual medical professionals, public and private health facilities in civil litigation, inquests and regulatory complaints investigated by the Health Care Complaints Commission (HCCC) and other professional bodies.
Her practice extends to all NSW Courts and jurisdictions and she frequently appears in the District Court, Supreme Court, State Coroner’s Court and Local Courts. Seun is a skilled advocate and has represented her clients at coronial inquests and interlocutory applications without counsel.
Seun also acts for government departments providing ageing, disability and home care policy advice, and representing agencies and educational institutions in coronial inquests. Her experience includes a secondment to the Commonwealth Department of Health where, amongst other matters, she provided advice about obligations arising under the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 and Aged Care Act 1997.
Prior to joining Makinson d’Apice, Seun spent over eight years working for what is now known as the NSW Department of Communities and Justice. She provided legal and policy advice to Government and NGO stakeholders regarding disability, aged care and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Seun regularly presents educational sessions to her clients and develops and tailors seminars to suit client needs.
