Client: Huntlee Pty Ltd for LWP Property Group

Issue:

To realise the development of Huntlee, the first brand new town in the Hunter Region for over 50 years.

Our role:

We are one of a panel of firms acting on the sale of new lots and providing general commercial property advice with respect to the Huntlee development. Our role has been to assist with the sale and completion of Stage 1 in the development which comprises 120 residential lots (of a total of up to 7,500 dwellings to be released over a number of stages). We have also provided advice in relation to the creations of covenants and easements and various titling aspects. This has involved us working very closely with Stephen Thompson the Project Director and his team at Huntlee.

Solution:

We developed a Master Contract for the sale of lots in the subdivision together with a number of associated documents including Option Agreements, Licences and Leases. The settlement process for sales in Stage 1 was expedited via an on-line client portal where purchasers were able to book settlements and download relevant documents. Our work has also included advising in relation to the sale of a commercial site for the development of a new shopping centre which will service the Huntlee community.
